For the realisation of one of our projects, ATIA is currently looking for skilled Java programmers available to, at least, 1 Jul 2011, for 16-32 hours a week. Working from home, apart from an occasional visit for meetings, is an option. You should be capable of efficiently implementing specifications in Java. Moreover you should be able to efficiently acquire new languages and techniques, because, next to Java, we use languages "fit to purpose", such as C# and C.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java
- Good communication skills
- Minimal education level: bachelor's degree software engineering (Dutch: hogeschool informatica) or equivalent. For us it counts what you are capable of. For example, talented students with proven experience (= a portfolio) are also invited to react.
- Available to, at least, 1 Jul 2011.
Organisation profile
ATIA is an innovative and multi-disciplinary research organisation focusing on the development of new A.I. and knowledge engineering techniques for the medical domain. Products developed should be state of the art and contribute to the progress of science in A.I. and knowledge engineering, however, the products must also be "industrial strength" - or lead to such products. A substantial part of the employees hold a university degree, and ATIA also employs PhD students and facilitates Master's students. The atmosphere is productive, informal and creative.
Working from home, apart from an occasional visit for meetings, is an option.
