A lecture that discusses the aspects of web programming that almost everybody has heard of but few really know something about. The talk will cover questions like what does a browser do when you open a website and what is the difference between server-side and client-side scripting. It focuses on knowledge that is useful in reality instead of elaborating endlessly about the definitions and theory behind them.
It is not a course that teaches you how to make a website nor does it teach any specific programming language. It is an addition to the common knowledge of a web programmer, which will improve their understanding and skills.
Prior web programming experience is not required but it will help you to get more benefit out of the talk. I think that almost everybody will be able to learn something new.
